International Resource person on War and Literature, Professor Featherstone, from Department of English, De Montfort University, Leicester, U.K., delivered a special lecture in a one-day seminar organized by the department of English on August 2014. He also delivered class-room lectures of Course 301 to the students of the third semester for a week.
Department of Philosophy and Department of English jointly held film-studies workshop-cum-seminar on The Third World Films in which Prof Dennis Hanlon of University of St. Andrews, Scotland, was the chief speaker. [September 2014].
Dr. Neha Arora, Central University of Rajasthan, has visited and delivered lectures in the department in November, 2014.
Dr. Ujjwal Jana, an academician specialized in the areas of Indian Aesthetic theories from the School of Humanities, Pondicherry University and Dr.Samipendra Banerjee, a noted teacher and theatre-specialist from University of GourBanga have delivered special lectures to the students as visiting teachers, in the Monsoon Semester, 2015.
Professor Basabi Fraser, Director of Tagore Studies, Edinburgh Napier university, held Creative Writing workshop and also offered visiting lectures in the Monsoon Semester, 2016. Dr Neil Fraser also offered a talk on immigration and identity.
